Tumultes
The announcement of Patrick’s death plunged the family into shock. Married and a mother, Anne came to support her parents, especially her mother, who refuses to believe in her son’s death and is gradually descending into madness. Claude, the youngest, Patrick’s twin sister, cannot accept the loss of “half of herself.” Anne and Claude go to the station to meet Isabelle, the third sister — the rebel, the one who left the family five years earlier. She fears facing her parents. While waiting for Yves, Anne’s husband, to bring Patrick’s body home, everyday life seems suspended. Anne, the sensible one, throws herself into household chores to hide her distress. Like Anne, Claude blames Isabelle for having betrayed the family
